The Jammu and Kashmir police in a statement said that they have detained five persons for spreading fake news about the situation in valley.
The police has said that the detainees have made sensitive remarks which could lead to law and order problem in the region. The J&K police has booked the five men under relevant sections of law and have startedlegal proceedings against them.
All the accused whohave been booked are residents of Rajouri and Poonch districts but appear to be working outside Jammu and Kashmir.
